Life in New Zealand
I've got nothing much to do now and I've been thinking what am I doing here. What kind of life am i living in New Zealand.
Besides the usual Monday - Friday work, I think I have made a drastic change and gone into the teaching- particularly the early childhood field.
Spending 3 years in the office was a both fun and boring. Fun with colleagues but work can get abit mundane. Circumstances motivated me to take a year break and go back to Uni. I must say that was quite cool as I made some good friends and being abit geeky, I kinda like being a student again after 3 years.
Honestly being/working with children can be more stressful than anything! They love trying things that you say "NO" to, they cry come for cuddles and conveniently deposit their snort on your t-shirt or pants, and because they were too busy playing/exploring, they forgot to take time off to the toilet and thus poop on their underpants!
These are some of the stresses I face...
After work, I come home, have dinner, play with Baxter and then get ready for bed by 9ish..
Wednesday is one of the more happening day when I checked the Air Nz website for hot deals to travel round the country. More often than not, Im always too late and air tickets are sold out.
Wednesday night is also our church small group night.
Thursday and Friday are shopping late nights but I dun often go out. The shopping industry here is too amatuer, although most of the time, i do attack the shopping malls or the movies on Friday.
Saturday is fairly relaxing- i often go to pet shops and try my best to psycho WZ to get me another puppy. 99.99 times, i failed. Sigh. Afternoon naps, food, baxter are on the itineary for Saturday.
Sunday- church. Afternoon- marketing for the coming week. RELAX before the week starts again.
Thats basically what my life is here. Perhaps with the odd occasions of meeting up with friends for dinner.
What if I am in Singapore. I guess it would be very different......

The renovations are finally done! We moved to the master bed room and because we sold our bed, we are now sleeping on mattresses. Went to bedpost to look at bed last week. Surprise! a king size bed set and mattress cost $6000. Well, the one I am keen and wanted very much cost $6000.

The steps. With new carpet and underlay, the steps are more cushion-y now and very very nice.

The living area. Neat isn't it. Our house has never been that neat and tidy before. We have to keep it that way cos we will be having open home for viewers...

And my V day present. Silky, pink stripey PJs....
