Financial markets in NZ have burst. Finance economy undergoing market correction. The so called Darwin(??) theory: Survival of the fittest.
On monday, my manager told us that the retail lending dept is affected and our roles will be reduced to only one left. So its between Aubrey and me. pretty streesed on monday, but i must say that it allows us to move out of our comfort zone and think hard about what we want to do in the next step of our career.
on tuesday, went back to work to submit a proposal on the revised structure. they came back saying that the proposed structure is to stay and we have to sumbit a expression of interest (EOI) form to re-apply for our role. Deadline Wed 12.30pm
THINK HARD, WORK OUT POSSIBILITIES.
Came to a conclusion that i will go bank to uni to do a graduate diploma course in teaching ( early childhood education and becos i've already got a degree, the course takes only a year. So i submitted my EOI form and will resign in Nov.
Woke up Wed, my dad told me that i shd withdraw my EOI, take the retrenchment payout, do temp jobs, go for my holiday and then to uni next year which make sense as well. so i withdraw my EOI.
my GM rang me and said that bcos both of us have not express our interest and that there is a position available, they are going to offer it to me. it is now up to me whether to accept the role or resign from the company!!!!

WHAT THE HECK!!!! no retrenchment payout!!!! *pretty gutted*
and now im back at work!!!! and my colleague got retrench.

glad to be back? 50-50 as i was ready to move on , get some odd jobs, try sth new, take my holiday in dec and then go back to school. but now i have to work, resign i dunno when, and go back to uni next year....
i cud have gotten the money without working!!!! *crazy*

Being Singaporeans, my dad was specially concerned bout Zac going to a good school. At where we are staying, we are zoned for Pakuranga Intermediate but Pakuranga Intermediate does not have decile 10 ( schools are graded from 1-10, 10 being the best- quality of teaching, resources, school infrastructure etc). Pretty sure Pakuranga Intermeditae has 6/7. so NOT BAD, but becoz my dad is Singaporean lah, so wanted Zac to go to Farm cove Intermediate. SO we got someone to help! his ex colleauge does the school accounts for Farm cove intermediate. Zac's balloting for Farm cove intermediate wasnt successful, he was really disappointed but kinda accepted it. and today, his colleague rang saying that Zac will be going to FC Intermediate but my dad has to help out in doing the school accounts... Sighz... everything has a price ay!

Another thing to talk about.... my dad went to play hockey and got injured.... lol.... old lah. stay home sleep better....

so looking forward to the weekend and weather now is crappy... rain, rain, rain...
